That NaNoWriMo sounds like so much fun! But I have to finish the stories I already have posted. Maybe I'll enter next time. When would that be anyway? Hopefully not next November! O.o
Speaking of finishing stories . . .
Secret Sun is almost finished! I just posted chapter 20 last night and I only have 7 more chapters to go. The drama shall be fun to write. XD I might write some extra or bonus chapters, for the holidays cause I just love writing holiday stuff that much and I'll be sad to say goodbye to them.. ;_; But I'll be happy to finish a story again, at long last. Though I'll probably be finishing my fanfiction Sasuke-Neko before all else. Writing that one has been a blast. I cracked myself up it was so much fun.
I only have two pending stories on my fanfiction, not including my story which is on haitus and has been for like a year. But that's on my other profile. My old, kind of abandoned one. My Bleeding White Lily one only has two though, the rest on there being one-shots. So I have two from here, Sasuke-Neko only has two more chapters to go though, well one chapter and an epilogue actually. And then I'm not sure how many chapters I Dare You will be, but not many. I'm not going to write the second chapter to that though until Sasuke-Neko's done.
I have too many stories to write in. The plot bunnies are vicious little buggers.
On my other Bleeding White Lily account, on fictionpress, I have Secret Sun, which as I said is almost done, Angelic Voice which is just revisions so I'm not really too concerned with that, and then there's Ring Around the Roses which I've been wanting to do since the summer of 2007 and can finally write. And I decided to use both the music box and the rose. I'm so clever I amaze myself. XD
Then there's my porcelain angels account.
Three pending stories on there as well. It's my lucky number it seems. If only I had one more for my fanfiction.
There's Whispers in the Dark which is maybe...60% finished. Then there's Game which isn't going to be a long story either, not over 15 chapters I'm sure. And my newest addition, Imaginary, which is probably a temporary title. Imaginary is also my very first witch story. The summary sucks but as I only have a vague idea of it so far I can't really do much about that. I'm also having a hell of a time naming my name character. I kind of want to call her Libba, short for Elizabeth, Libra, don't ask, or Grace, or just a name where I can imagine a girl with red hair and light blue eyes. Even though with Grace I imagine green eyes. T.T I'm also wondering if I should make this a het story or a femslash story. We shall see...

On another note, I'm uberly proud of myself for secret sun's revisions. They're going so well. The feelings are deeper and I'm more in love with this version of my Stephan than the last. I love top bitch uke's, I hate the crybaby ones. That's why I both love and loath Elliot. Oh that's right, I said it. I hate that type of uke and will never, ever write another one. Although I do claim Stephan's an uke, he still does top Noah every blue moon, he just prefers to bottom. but he's still queen bitch and I love him for it. I love snarky, beautiful uke's with loud or shy seme's, though I do make the topper more . . . muscular, I'll admit to that, but I don't really make them pretty boys, I like the catchers to be pretty boys.
As awesome as secret sun's revisions are going angelic voice isn't going as great. I can't get a feel for my own main characters and that's sad. Maybe in the second revisions I will. Well, I'm going to finish up this round which is mostly just editing mistakes and adding more detail and taking out cheesey crap.
Also, I'm finally working on dark genie's chapter version which will be called ring around the roses. There are a ton of differences but I'm keeping the character names Isabel and Knight simply because I love them. I'm not sure if Knight will come out of a music box like in the original version though or this black rose necklace - since my inspiration for this was brought up by my own necklace which is a black rose that dangles down to like, my belly button. I thought, 'wouldn't it be cool if a genie came out of here?'
The three wishes she uses will also be different but similar and the ending will be very different.
Well, it's 8:31AM and I'm deciding on whether I should go to school or not. My legs hurt like hell and all the work I'll do there I can do here. I really don't want to walk for like, two hours later, I walk home. Hmm . . . I'll probably go . . . or maybe not . . . oh decisions . . .

I love brotherly love the most. Brotherhood just touches me like nothing else.

I don't think so....but when I saw a pic of that water fairy I wanted to write about a female fairy. Oh! Wait, yes! As for DEATH'S DEAL I've decided something about it's revisions . . . I'm going to try . . . and make it an erotica! I probably won't be able to make it too detailed, not in the first revisions anyway, I'll see how this goes first. Hmm, maybe erotica is the wrong word for it, just more descriptive than now. We shall see. I'm working on the next chapter of that as well as my new story right now.

So I found my glasses, turns out they were just at school...heh heh...Well, I still need a new pair anyway but at least I have these until I get them yeah? XD
Anyway, so I was plotting for my new story and now . . . it's turning out to be another Supernatural (maybe even Fantasy) Horror, with a touch of romance but that's not the focus, and lots of family love, like between siblings and even father daughter relationships (and no, you pervs, I don't mean romantic relationships. I don't believe I'll be putting any incest couplings in here.) Anywho, so this is also becoming inspired by ALICE IN WONDERLAND, which could be because I watched the movie recently and am finally getting around to reading the book. T.T This is absolutely nothing like Lewis C.'s story or even the Disney version and yet . . . you'll see what I mean. You'll see the names Mad Hatter, Alice, and so on in there. Big inspiriation. And while I was at it! I even looked at the previews and such for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, since I was loving on all that.
Well, this story of mine is turning out to be quite different from what I was planning but...I have to say I'm proud of myself! My imagination, if I could see you and if you were a solid being...I would kiss your ass and worship the ground you walk on! <3

Today is so not a cool day. I need those bastards to see! >:( I'm near sighted though and my eyes aren't that bad. Sighs, I can manage until Friday. --.--;;
Anyway, I'm going to start putting more pictures up on my DA. My pen name on it is, of course, BleedingWhiteLily. So far I only have like, three thngs up there. But I'm going to put time aside to start drawing again. I'm going to start drawing my characters from my stories. Hmmm, does anyone know how to paint? I can't paint. I can draw but that's like, it. lol. I need someone who can paint my shit! hehe. I'm also posting photos I take, so far I only have the top of this church building I used to live by. Funny, I always hung out on the steps on the church with my friend and cousins yet we've NEVER gone inside. I guess the holiness scared us away! LOL. You know, cause we were just little sinners like that. We would have taken one step in and fried. Priests would have thrown holy water at us screaming "THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU, BITCH!" (I'm joking. I don't know why we never went in) Anywho, I picture Dream on that roof in chapter 6, which isn't even out yet, so I decided to just give everyone a nice little visual. Aren't I so sweet? -bats eyelashes- I'm also going to be drawing my other characters, like Charlotte from BLOOD LUST and even some characters from ANGELIC VOICE.
My characters will probably be drawn like, anime/manga style, seeing as that's what I enjoy drawing the most. =p I can't even shade that well either. I totally, epically fail. I can shade a little bit but . . . not well. And collar pencils only don't look as good as paint.

oh and the girl voices!!!! Winry and Maria! They're the type of girls who would not have cute voices yet all the girls in this have the 'cute voice'. And it just doesn't fit with the type of girl they are. Especially Maria.
Oh, I do love the beginning theme though, Again by YUI, downloaded it. ;D But I don't like the ending theme.
And last, it seemed very rushed. It's only episode 10 and Hughs is already dead. O.o It didn't even really give you time to fall in love with his character. I highly doubt when the episode's out I'll cry. I didn't cry once for it, and for those same parts for the other one, I cried tons. It does, however, follow the manga more directly, as I was told. The events just seem to zip right on by. They even covered the Lior part in just one ep while in the other one, it took two. I wonder if they're doing this just until it finally parts from the first anime and then it'll get deeper and more interesting . . . hmm, we shall see.
So, now that I'm done with that . . .
I haven't been in the mood to write. FMA has possessed me. lol! But I've been writing for ANGELIC VOICE and LABYRINTH piece by piece, lots of editing for the chapters though. sigh. Though I'm not as concerned about my pace as I used to be. =p If I concerned myself with it, it would take the fun away and make it feel more like an unwanted chore or something. :S I do still want to experience what it's like to work solely on one story and lose myself in it, but I think that as long as I have these many stories up and incomplete that won't happen. So maybe when I finally finish them I'll have this chance. :) I'm almost done with LABYRINTH's next chapter . . . I wonder if I even need a beta anymore, I'm progressing so much! :D Well, when she no longer finds mistakes I guess that's when I'll cry tears of joy. I'd feel so accomplished. lol!

Anywho, I'm also tempted to play my two FMA games for PS2, though I've already beaten the second one and the first one . . . I'm stuck!!!! I keep dying! I don't know how to kill this bitch, it doesn't matter how many times I hit the guy he just heals and then I'm out of potions and such and die. TT_TT How do I kill the main villain for the first game? ;.;
As for FULL METAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD, I've only watched the first episode so far, I'm ashamed to say. But I'm going to watch the other eight once I'm done posting this, and I'm also going to re-watch the first episode. I didn't really pay much attention to it the first time but I like the beginning of the first version of the anime more than the first episode for that one. I love the first two episodes of FMA with the God-worshiping-idiot and Rose and all that. It was a beautiful introduction to the world that I fell in love with. the ending though, the movie, is bittersweet. On one hand, Ed and Al are together, YAY, but on another one . . . they're no longer in the world the anime makes you fall in love with. -pouts- Ed and no alchemy just doesn't sound right.
Oooh, and my favorite villain ever is in FULL METAL ALCHEMIST too! Anyone who knows me know that I love Lust from FMA!!! Love her character. X3 She's a villain yet I felt sorry for her, the poor girl, she wants to be human just so she'll know where she'll go when she dies. Her character screams 'tragic' to me, I cried when she died in the anime, I almost cried when Sloth died too, cause of Ed and Al. Ed and Al have got to be my favorite brother-pairing. I swear, whenever I watch this I wish I had a sibling who I could go to, hug and say "I love you man! I would totally give up an arm for you! TT_TT" Brotherly love has to be my favorite kind of love, way more than romantic love. Ha ha, to each their own! If I have them, I always try to make my sibling pairs in my stories close - unless I'm doing the "I hate him/her" kind of sibling er, thing. Ha ha, I really want to do a brother story, but I've been a little . . . . hesitant to leave the genre's I already know how to write in. Such as romance and supernatural and now tragedy. I'm trying now though, I'm doing a story where the main characters are two boys and a girl. It's in first person but switches between those three's POV's. It has some romance, but it's very small and not as big as the friendship and family in there. I'll probably put it under Young Adult - Adventure/General. I'm finally spreading my horizons with writing. :)
The main characters so far are . . . Pierce, which may be a temporary name, I just couldn't think of anything else so far, his little brother Rory, and a girl who I've yet to name. I'm thinking Ivy but I'm not sure. Then I have the idea for this other girl named Robyn and this guy named Craig. This is going to have war and military stuff in it which is very new to me and I am so open to advice! Or suggestions to help me out. I may even ask some people for help since I'm so new with this. I'm trying to lose myself into this story which is hard for me to do since I switch between writing all these different stories and I wish I could be the type of writer who can focus solely on one story and just lose myself in it . . . maybe I'll try again this summer? But I'm not sure which one to lose myself to. :S Well, I'm writing this story by hand first, I have three notebooks for it. And I'm not sure how long the story will be and since this is just me getting into this new genre, I'm not even sure how deep the plot will go. This is more or less just me experimenting, I'll probably put it up here on LJ long before I put it up on FP though.

What is up with these comments calling her a whore? Okay, if you want to insult someone, actually call them something they are. You don't know if the person is a whore, you don't even know if it's a she. Those are nasty insults that do nothing but spread hate. Call me a hippie, but I'd rather encourage someone to change themselves for the better - it's not always going to happen but in some cases it can and we should encourage that, not make them want to off themselves by saying mean things. Really, how does that make you any better than her? Or him? All you're doing is spreading hate by saying nasty things.
If you want to comment on a plagiarized story, be an adult and try and sound intelligent. Otherwise you're just an annoying little kid throwing a fit and it's irritating. I'm pretty sure the writers wouldn't want you calling these people sluts and whores - or I saw a note on JD Allen's profile telling people to not do that. Defending a piece of work is one thing, but this is just . . . sad . . . if these are good people I don't want to meet the bad ones! Just imagine what they'd say!
On the up side, I think it's cool that you love that person's work so much that you'd defend it . . . but do you really have to be so immature about it? :S No, I'm seriously curious. If you're going to flame someone flame the story, and if you want to flame a plagiarizer flame them on being that, not being all of these things that you have no proof that they are. There was this one review that even said that she/he hoped that that person died!!!

That's going a little too far, don't ya think? What they did was wrong, we all know that, but that was just . . . I think that was the one that just made me snap and go "this poor girl/boy". So good job guys, you made me pity a theif, that's what you accomplished there. T.T There's a greater need for human compassion and kindness in the world, seriously. And I'm pretty sure that even the people who have been plagiarized wouldn't want that person to die a horrible, painful death . . . and if they do . . . damn. Well, maybe when it first happens and you're pissy, but after you've calmed down . . . I've had someone write a sequel to my story but I've never had someone really plagiarize me. I just know that when that person did get hate comments for doing a sequel to my story without asking I was ashamed of them. They said nasty things to her and I felt bad for the girl, even though I myself was upset with her making a sequel with my story, I felt bad for her because of that intense hate. It just breaks my heart to see it.
So my point here is, if you're going to flame her/him, then flame the person on being a plagiarizer, a theif, but that's it. Report her/him for being a plagiarizer, call her/him out on it, go ahead, just try and be mature about it and leave the "slut, hoe, bitch, skank, whore, die mother fucker die!" back in the 'hate-box' where it belongs. And lock that box up and never open it again.

This is just me ranting and for you guys to um, get to know a tad bit more about me. XD
I was re-reading some of my parts for ANGELIC VOICE and I realized . . . I really like dead brides. (that sounds weird) Which is probably why CORPSE BRIDE is not only my second favorite Tim Burton movie but also my top favorite animation movie period. It's no secret that I'm like, in love with that movie. lol! So now I feel like going into a movie discussion, my likes and dislikes and so on.
First off, and most importantly, my favorite producer is Tim Burton. My top favorite movie is Sleepy Hollow, which yeah, Tim Burton produced. I really like the actor Jonny Depp, not because he's hot or whatever but actually simply because he plays in a lot of Tim Burton movies--Sleepy Hollow, Corpse Bride, Edward Sissorhands, the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...and he did an amazing job in those parts.
As for Disney Movies, I actually divide them up into sections. Like my favorite princess movie is Beauty and the Beast though I have also fallen in love with Anastasia, simply because I love the strong female lead character. My favorite Disney animal movie is Fox and the Hound, I love that it focuses on friendship. And my favorite random Disney movie is Alice in Wonderland. (come on! you had to have seen that one coming! XD)
Oh and about that, I actually like the original tales better than Disney's remakes. Like Snow White's original version Schneewittchen I love yet I think the Disney version is really boring. ^_^;;
What I hate about Disney movies are all the singing. Sometimes it's fine other times I just fast forward through it. When I'm in the mood to write Fantasy I like to have a marathon of the disney princess movies, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Anastasia, and all that playing in the background as background noise. It helps me er, set the mood, I suppose you could say. XD And when I'm writing for things like Angelic Voice or Sanctuary I watch things like Corpse Bride.
My favorite movies are horror movies, we all know this. Though I don't particularly have a favorite horror movie, I've seen way too fucking many to choose a favorite, I've been watching them since I was . . . damn . . . six maybe? The first horror movie I saw was Child's Play and I had nightmares of Chucky hiding under my bed and kept my mom and step dad up many, many hours of the night screaming. Though other times I'd just lay there, hiding under the covers enjoying the fear because I'm apparently a masochist like that. I like being scared and that's why I like horror movies. I like the high it gives me, the excitement. I used to love being afraid that Predator was in the trees when me and my cousins played Hide and Seek outside, as twisted as that sounds. I love the night as well, I think it's beautiful. Just...takes my breath away. I love sitting in trees especially at night, in the summer, where it has cooled down and so it's nice and cool and the leaves are just rustling and the sound is just soothing to me. Sometimes I'll leave my window open just to hear the wind making the leaves on the trees dance. Oh and my prefered horror movie is one where there's another person doing the killing. Like in Scream, a movie that I definitely love and would put on my top 5 list.
I also love playing games, usually PS2 games seeing as that's the only system I have. ^_^;; My favorite RPG game would be...Final Fantasy VIII for the PS1 and Final Fantasy X for the PS2. Which really, you should have seen coming. My favorite fighting game though is Bloody Roar 3. It's not a really popular game but I still love it and kick so much ass by the way. I don't like sports games, like fishing and football and all that. I can't even play that in real life why would I want to in the game? XD I do, however, love race car games, even though I run into everything and when it's ones where you get chased by the police they almost always catch me. Yeah, never have me drive the get-away car because we will not get away. I'll probably slide and run into a tree and then we'd all be fucked. lol!
and now anime's! Hoo ha! Yes, I watch them, or used to, I don't really much anymore. But I still have favorites. My top favorite anime would definitely be FULL METAL ALCHEMIST. I love the brotherly love that goes on in there. Edward is like my ideal big brother. My second favorite would be WOLF'S RAIN and I've only ever seen this once, but it's made me cry for like, every fucking episode that I just have to name it. Elfen Lied - did I even spell that right? Seriously, almost every single episode had me in tears. Especially when those fucked up kids murdered the girl's puppy. My throat and eyes were sore by the time I was done watching it. And as for the two animes that I mentioned that I love, I actually have the box sets of them. lol. I also have Inuyasha DVDs, the first and third season box set for those. I have the three Tenchi movies a random Yu Yu Ha...however you spell that DVD that I have never watched. All the Fruits Basket DVDs and all the .Hack//sign box sets save for Roots. (I also have a lot of the .hack games which are awesome)
Manga-wise now. My favorite manga-ka is Kaori Yuuki. I love her dark writing and her drawings are beautiful. I especially love how she does the eyes and hair, and hell, even the clothes. I love all her work and go back and forth on which is my favorite. Right now it's the Cain saga. Count Cain and Godchild. They're awesome. I love the relationship between Cain and Riff. I would have to say my favorite manga in general is Naruto. Simply because it's the only manga I actually keep up with in the updates and such. And also because NaruSasu/SasuNaru is my favorite pairing ever. I don't watch the Naruto anime simply because the fillers make me sick. They hold no purpose and are just...blagh, I hate them. I also like Yuu Watase's Fushigi Yuugi and its sequel Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden. Her Alice 19th was pretty cool too.
I don't usually read romance but Fruits Basket is the shit. I love it. I love every. single. book. It was just . . . awesome.
I'm not religious yet I love stories with angels like Angel Sanctuary by Kaori Yuuki.
My favorite thing to read and watch when it comes to the romance category is boylove.
I can't read something in the genre Romane~Humor/Drama/Angst/Romance. It has to have Supernatural or Horror or even Fantasy mixed in, otherwise I can't get into it and the plots and characters tend to annoy me easily. Oh but I am beginnin to really like Historical books. And I also like certain types of sci-fi though I'm very picky for that genre.
I don't like vampire stories. I can write them to an extent, but I don't like reading them. I don't like werewolf stories either, to the point to where I can't even write them. I love werewolf movies, however. Or have some favorites, such as Bad Moon.
I'm beginning to love stories that involve ghosts. I also love movies that involve them, such as haunting horror movies, as well.
I love psychological horror movies like The Uninvited which is my top psychological movie.
When I comes to novels I don't have a favorite one or a favorite author.

Well, I'm going to do a project. It was thought up by SuperNovaDobe from DA. Master of the Rebels from FF is also doing it and if you want to do it to, I encourage you to. I'll put up the links to the ones who I know is doing it up on my profile when I post mine hopefully later today. Yeah, definitely later today. Mine is going to be full of drabbles about homosexuality, homophobia, prop 8 itself, and the loved ones, like family, who have to see their loved one go through it. It'll be categorized under Romance seeing as it's all homosexuals, gay love, it won't just be two boys, I'll have some lesbian couples in there as well. If you all could support this I would be most grateful. :) Basically the challenge or whatever, is me continuously putting in drabbles and one-shots in there until gay marriage is legal. So I'll probably update it once or twice a month with a new drabble. I'll also put other things that has to do with Prop 8 and stuff like that on my profile in it's story section.
With all that being said, I'm going to try and get back to ANGELIC VOICE. I've been busy with essays, finals and so on. Also I got my hair cut so that my bangs and the sides are all layered and cute and short and the back of my hair is stacked so I can spike it. This dude I talk to sometimes was like "hey! you finally got a lesbian haircut!" LOL! Oh some people . . .
Anywho, I'll try my best to get to SECRET SUN soon. But I'm fucking itching to write for this new boylove story. It's temporary title, or maybe temporary, is ETERNAL SILENCE. It'll be a Romance-Supernatural/Horror of course, and it's dealing wiht a supernatural being that I have yet to write for. Like, ever. So I'm uberly excited about that! I'm not sure if I'll be able to hold back. lol. I might just write the first chapter and let it sit there until July or something. I'm not sure.

On another note, I am still getting picked on for the name Edward. =p Seriously, you should see the reviews these TWILIGHT fangirls leave me. :S One even said ANGELIC VOICE belonged on FANFICTION!!! Nuh-uh miha! It was like -virtual bitch slap- to me. Like I just got pwned or something. Why does everyone pick on my Edward/Ace? In fact, I was looking and my very first review for that story was someone going "...omg....like...Edward...Twilight?
Anywho, after awhile that just kind of gets annoying.
And I'll say this now, I will be using the name Jasper for a ghost story I'm planning. And no, TWILIGHT will not play any part in why I like that name. I love the names Jasper and Kaspar. And when I think Jasper, I think ghost. For some reason, the two things just fit for me. I have no doubt I'll be getting harrassed by more TWILIGHT lovers but Jasper is a name that I like and if they have a problem with that, well....suck it up.
Moving on..........I printed out the first chapter of DEATH'S DEAL today to turn in cause I'm too lazy to write something else for my writing class. and I was reading it over to scratch out all the curse words and as I was reading it I noticed so many mistakes. I really need to take a red pen to that bitch! :O I can't wait until I start going through revisions for it! I'm going to edit the shit out of it! XD I'm also going to try fixing up KNIGHT IN BLACK ARMOR and SECRET SUN too. =p Not sure when though, I'll try getting to SECRET SUN this summer. Speaking of SECRET SUN, it's JUNE! DUN DUN DUN! And it is no longer on haitus though I'm gonna try and finish up the next chapter of DEATH'S DEAL before I start working on the next one to SS.
Now for my movie reviews, I watched three of the horror movies, the last I'm watching tonight and here's my simple and direct reviews of them.

O.o All the while they were killing people, smiling and going "God loves you!" fuck'n nutcases.

butIdoLOVEyoU and I are finally writing a collab together! -SQUEE- I won't give anything away about it though. ;D cause I'm just cruel like that. I will put up a post saying when we've posted it for others to read though. We're going to do a rough draft first so I'm not really sure how long it'll be. It'll also be short, like 6 chapters. XD Understanding by Evanescence is inspiring me to write for it and the band OneRepublic is inspiring her. Those are all the teasers I will give for now.

DEATH'S DEAL is almost done!!! and I posted the second chapter to RED MOON yesterday. -does a happy dance- I have to write out the chapter summaries for RED MOON though so I can keep going. Though I'll probably be busy with the new collab story. but then she's writing for one of her own stories too so...ha ha! Anywho! I rented like, four horror movies to watch this weekend! Did you know they have a GRUDGE 3?! I didn't know that! XD lol. I'll be sure to give a movie review for the movies. ;D

I really like Squall--or Pierce, hehehe--and, aaaah, what's her nuts . . . -scampers to get the book- well damn, I can find the book for ffX ffX-2 and ffxii but not ffviii....so not cool. But I think her name starts with a Q, the chick with the whip...'nough said. I really like her and Squall's platonic teacher/student thing they have going on. I don't know why, they just touch me, the whole 'Ah don't worry kid, I'm looking out for ya ;3' thing is really touching. I also like sibling-like relationships tooooooooo~o! and like writing and reading them! That's why in AV I'm also showing more of Erin and Eric's brother-sisterly bond. I loved writing them as twins. XD I wish I had a big bro or sis. -pouts- I especially like the protective older siblings and know that if I knew my little bro I'd be all mama lion with him. Fuck with my cubs and I'll tear your throat out. lol! JK. I'm anti-violence, actually. But it's just cool, the platonic relationships where like...I don't know, big bro's all protective or something. It's really cute. X3
On another note...I finished BAD GIRLS DON'T DIE by Katie Alender. The book as a whole was good, though at the end . . . it seemed like she rushed through it. (Spoilers here!) Okay, first off, the romance was unnecessary and I think that's why it bothered me. It was random and had absolutely no point. The novel fits the genre supernatural/mystery and was supposesd to focus on the two characters Kasey and Alexis. Sisters. Kasey being the one who's possessed by the doll and Alexis, the supposidly protective big sis, is supposed to be trying to save her. The summary says that the two girls bond after a fight between the parents but she overdramatized that seeing as there was no blowup between the parents and the bonding was pretty flat. Like, it was just Alexis telling the story of the ghost and there was no real bonding there, just storytelling. And Alexis was like, possessed or something as she was doing it. I just wasn't feeling it.
And then the romance comes from out of nowhere and is randomly put there. I mean, at first you think it'll have a point seeing as you get to know Carter for like, a chapter, then he disappears throughout the rest of the book and shows up randomly and very, very briefly. yet she continues to think about him and it seemed like she was tring to force unnecessary romance in there when it didn't fit. The book would have been better with just the three main characters Kasey, Megan, and Alexis. The story revolved around them, or at least, it did after awhile. Megan just kind of came in halfway through after only one appearance. So that was kind of weird. It was like POP oh she's main! And then there was Kasey, who was upset with Alexis because she had no friends and was like "you don't really like me, you treat me like a baby! my new friend--the evil spirit--is better than you!" -runs off and cries- and yeah, she eventually was saved from the spirit. The ending was kind of . . . it just zipped right on by.
and then the last chapter. WTF! It didn't fit at all. It ended just like every other cliche romance. This ending is so overused it deserves it's own title. It ends with Alexis going to the dance with Carter . . . who wasn't even a main character . . . well, he was for like, two, maybe three chapters but . . . that was weird. And it just would have been so much more fitting had it ended with a moment between Kasey and Alexis. Kasey ended up in a mental place and it would have been perfect to end it with some sort of interaction for them. Character 1 and 2 were supposed to be Alexis and Kasey yet Kasey barely had any part in the end. =/ So yeah, that sucked. buuuuut, since it was Katie's first novel . . . I can overlook it for the most part and still say, it was a good book. Good enough for me to finish it which is saying enough in itself. But I'll be expecting more from her next book. XD (end spoilers)
So now that I've read BAD GIRLS DON'T DIE I'm focusing on NEED by Carrie Jones. And I have to say, it's not catching me like BGDD but it's still good. The romance in it between Nick and Zara doesn't bother me at all. Though that could be because it fits more, seeing as it is a romance, and doesn't feel like it doesn't belong like in BGDD. So yeah, I'm still in it for the pixies. It's kind of corny but I bought it, started it, and damn it, I'm going to finish it! Then it's off to one of my other books . . . probably THE HUNGER GAMES--finally! I've been wanting to read that forever but want to finish up NEED first. I'm tired of leaving books unfinished. I already have to finish a lot more, well not too much. Only like, five? well there's MIRROR MIRROR, THE GOLDEN COMPASS, THE LOOKING GLASS WARS, ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND...I think that might be it. Oh! and THE LUXE which I still only have like, 50 more pages to read.
